Merritt Island Man Arrested After Exposing Himself to Multiple Women on Cocoa Beach

Alexander Civitate charged with Exposure of Sexual Organs

Alexander Civitate, 33, of Merritt Island, was arrested early Saturday morning, July 23, at about 1:00 A.M., for allegedly exposing himself in a lewd manner while following three women on the beach south of Minutemen Cswy.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – A Merritt Island man was arrested over the weekend after multiple women reported the man had exposed his genitals to them on Cocoa Beach.

Alexander Civitate, 33, of Merritt Island, was arrested early Saturday morning, July 23, at about 1:00 A.M., for allegedly exposing himself in a lewd manner while following three women on the beach south of Minutemen Cswy.

Cocoa Beach Police Officer Sean Bullard then responded to the scene, near the south end of Cocoa Beach, to meet the three victims who stated they were followed on the beach for several blocks by Civitate, who was naked, from S. 2nd St. to their rental home in the south end of the city.

Civitate allegedly touched himself continually in a lewd manner during this encounter. While Officer Bullard was driving the victims back to their rental, Sergeant Ron Betts located Civitate, who was still unclothed, at the east end of 6th St.

Civitate was positively identified by the victims and was taken into custody without incident.

Civitate was charged with Exposure of Sexual Organs and transported to the Brevard County Jail.
