OBITUARY: Elaine J. Casenhiser Passed Away Peacefully on June 26 at the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay

Elaine moved to Palm Bay in 1987 where she worked for Harris until her retirement
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Elaine J. Casenhiser (née Friedrichsen), 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26 at the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William J. Casenhiser, and is survived by their five children; Edward Casenhiser (Kathryn), Susan Mazzeo (Vincent), William J. Casenhiser Jr. (Suzanne), Stephen Casenhiser (Renata) and Kathleen Liatos (James); her eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Elaine was born in Barberton, Ohio on December 13, 1935, to Edward Friedrichsen and Alice Kramer Friedrichsen and was the youngest of six children.
Elaine attended Saint Joseph Catholic Elementary School and Central Catholic High School and met Bill while attending Saint Thomas Nursing School in Akron. They were married at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon, Ohio in 1957.
Elaine worked as an occupational nurse at BF Goodrich in Akron and also at Interval Brotherhood Home until moving to Palm Bay in 1987, where she worked for Harris until her retirement.
Elaine was a parishioner at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, 5330 Babcock Street in Palm Bay, where her funeral mass will be held on August 6 at 11 a.m. Elaine’s family will be present before the Mass at 10:30 a.m.
Elaine and Bill will be laid to rest together following a small ceremony at Calvary Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, 3469 East Lincoln Highway, Massilon, Ohio on Monday, August 29th at 10:30 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to William Childs Hospice House of Palm Bay, Florida.
