Elaine Williams Alfrey, 68, of Melbourne, Florida, left this world for her Heavenly home on July 8, 2022, at VITAS Hospice in Rockledge, Florida. She was a member of the Myrtle Old Regular Baptist Church in Melbourne, Florida. She was a retired painter and wallpaper hanger.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Elaine Williams Alfrey, 68, of Melbourne, Florida, left this world for her Heavenly home on July 8, 2022, at VITAS Hospice in Rockledge, Florida.

Born on October 19, 1953 in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Odes and Virginia Hope Hammersley Williams. She was a member of the Myrtle Old Regular Baptist Church in Melbourne, Florida. She was a retired painter and wallpaper hanger.

She enjoyed growing flowers and keeping in touch with family and her many friends. She was always the first person to help anyone in need. The one thing she loved most was spending time with her grandchildren. They were what made her the most happy and proud.

She leaves behind one daughter, Tish Yates of New Jersey; three sons, Paul Sidney Alfrey, Walter Brian (Renee), and Jesse Jay (Katrina) Alfrey, all of Melbourne, Florida; nine grandchildren, Eddie Yates, Tiffany Yates, Alyssa Rollar, Meghan Alfrey, Madison Alfrey, Diane Alfrey, Desiree Alfrey, Trinity Alfrey, and Shylah Alfrey; two great-grandchildren, Joshua Slaney and Jessilynn Alfrey; one sister, Joyce Williams Lockhart (Uris); two brothers, David (Fay) Williams and Darryl (Bonnie) Williams.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sidney Alfrey; one brother, Odes WIlliams Jr; father, Odes Williams; one sister, Louann Walters; mother, Virginia Hope Williams; and one beloved nephew, Kevin Walters.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Myrtle Old Regular Baptist Church at 2660 Brandywine Lane West Melbourne, Florida. Afterward, there will be a dinner served in the church dining room.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care at 1001 S. Hickory Street Melbourne, Florida 32901. Cremation will take place at a later time.
