Palm Bay Motorcyclist Killed in I-95 Crash, Traffic Being Diverted Off I-95 in Melbourne

Florida Highway Patrol are currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a motorcycle that happened on southbound I-95 near mile marker 180 in Melbourne around 9:04 p.m. Wednesday night.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol are currently investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a motorcycle that happened on southbound I-95 near mile marker 180 in Melbourne around 9:04 p.m. Wednesday night.

A motorcyclist is identified as a 70-year-old man from Palm Bay who was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Authorities say a witness advised that possibly a white or lighter color Dodge Ram pick-up truck was also involved in the collision.

State troopers say there is a roadblock for the southbound lanes of I-95 in the area of mile marker 180 as investigators process the scene.

Traffic is being diverted off I-95 at exit 182.

The crash remains under investigation.
