TITUSVILLE POLICE: Motorcyclist Killed in Morning Traffic Crash Near Foley Road and State Road 405

Motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, pronounced deceased at 10:18 a.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville police officers responded to a report of a traffic crash with injuries involving a motorcycle and a truck near the intersection of Foley Road and State Road 405 on Friday morning at about 9:30 a.m.
According to the Titusville Police Department spokesperson Amy Matthews, the preliminary investigation revealed Frances Jade Moree, 69, of Titusville, driving a silver GMC Sierra truck, crossed the northbound lane of South Street from Foley Road in an attempt to turn into the southbound lane of South Street.
Moree was subsequently struck on the driver’s side by a 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by a local man traveling northbound on South Street.
Matthews said Moree continued eastbound through the intersection, crossing both lanes of traffic and ultimately crashed into a retention pond on the east side of South Street.
The motorcyclist, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at 10:18 a.m.
Moree was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There were no other injuries and this traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department.
