ORLANDO, FLORIDA – UCF Athletics and Playfly Sports, the emerging leader in sports marketing, media and technology, announced Tuesday a 13-year multimedia rights agreement.

The total value of the agreement will rank UCF among the top of its impending Big 12 Conference counterparts, as the school prepares to enter the Power Five conference, which is set to commence on July 1, 2023.

“This multimedia rights agreement is groundbreaking for UCF and signifies our media value in the marketplace,” said Terry Mohajir, UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics.

“It’s validation of our value as an institution and the result of investments made by the Board of Trustees, University leadership, students, alumni, central Florida region, State of Florida and Big 12 Conference.

“I’d like to thank the UCF Board of Trustees and the UCFAA Board, specifically Alex Martins and Bill Christy, as well as our UCF Athletics internal team Jordan Clark, Terry Donovan, Adam Haukap and Mark Wright for their work to secure this agreement.”

UCF’s partnership with Playfly will leverage the company’s multimedia rights expertise and tap into its expansive suite of marketing and media solutions to further grow the UCF brand regionally, nationally and globally.

Together, UCF and Playfly will work to secure strategic corporate partnerships with an eye for emerging categories and innovative activations in the quickly evolving landscape of collegiate athletics.

“UCF Athletics is in the infancy of its growth as a sports brand. We believe in the vision charted by Terry Mohajir and his leadership team. Both of our organizations are fueled by innovation and creating the ultimate experience for student-athletes, alumni, and fans,” said Christy Hedgpeth, President at Playfly Sports Properties. “We’re excited to partner with the leaders of Playfly Sports,” Mohajir added.

“They have a very talented group of forward-thinking leaders and innovators that will help advance our emerging brand on a national scale. We appreciate their belief in us to help take this place to new heights.”

The partnership is in addition to the existing naming rights agreements with FBC Mortgage Stadium and Addition Financial Arena and is not related to the conference broadcast rights distribution.
