Canelo vs GGG 3 Fight Preview and News

By  //  August 13, 2022

The long-awaited rematch between Canelo Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin live is finally set to take place. This will be the third time that these two boxing titans have faced off, with their first encounter ending in a controversial draw and their second bout resulting in a narrow victory for Alvarez.

Now, with both men having had time to regroup and prepare, all eyes will be on them as they look to settle the score once and for all.

Canelo vs GGG 3 Fight Preview

The first thing to note is that both boxers are now a year older since their last fight. Alvarez is 32, while Golovkin is 40.

This could be a factor, as age generally starts to take its toll on boxers around this time in their careers.

That said, both men are still at the peak of their physical prowess and possess the skills and experience to make this a truly great fight.

One area where Alvarez may have the edge is in his speed and movement. He showed in the first two fights that he could dart around the ring and land quick, effective punches.

Golovkin, on the other hand, is more of a traditional brawler. He likes to stand toe-to-toe with his opponents and exchange big shots.

This could be a problem for him against Alvarez, who will no doubt look to use his speed to avoid Golovkin’s power punches and pick him apart with counter-attacks.

Another thing to consider is that both men have changed trainers since their last fight.

Alvarez has brought in Eddy Reynoso, who is known for his work with fellow Mexican star Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.

Golovkin, meanwhile, has switched to Johnathon Banks, who has previously worked with Wladimir Klitschko.

It will be interesting to see how these new dynamics affect each boxer’s performance on fight night.
