BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – After a hiatus due to inclement weather and ongoing health and safety concerns relating to COVID-19, the City of Rockledge is once again set to host its 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 10.

The program will be complete with keynote speakers, musical selections, a wreath-laying ceremony, and the unveiling of the relocated World Trade Center beam, which was previously housed at Fire Station 37 on Murrell Road.

“After three years of cancelations due to COVID and an impending hurricane, we are very excited for the return of this event,” said Rockledge Councilman Duane Daski, who has spearheaded this annual event.

“We must remember those who perished on this day, honor our first responders, educate those who were too young to remember this tragic day, and we must remind everyone that we will never forget.”

The public is invited to attend the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony, which is slated for Saturday, September 10 at 10 a.m. at the Rockledge Civic Hub, 530 Barton Boulevard (next to Rockledge City Hall).
