FHP: Titusville Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash Thursday On Canaveral Groves Boulevard Near Morris Avenue

24-year-old male passenger was transported to a Rockledge hospital with serious injuries

BREVARD COUNTY • CANAVERAL GROVES, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol reported a single-vehicle fatal crash that happened Thursday around 12 noon at Canaveral Groves Boulevard east of Morris Avenue.

According to FHP Public Affairs Officer Lt. Tara Crescenzi, the incident involved a 2017 Toyota Rav4 that was going westbound on Canaveral Groves Boulevard east of Morris Avenue, and for an unknown reason, the driver, a 22-year-old Titusville man, traveled off the roadway and struck a palm tree.

“The impact caused the vehicle to become completely engulfed in flames,” said Lt. Crescenzi. “The driver was pronounced deceased on scene.”

Lt. Crescenzi said a 24-year-old male passenger was transported to a Rockledge hospital with serious injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
