Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Names Timothy Rutherford as Upper School Head Chaplain

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy welcomed Chaplain Timothy Rutherford to the Upper School Social Sciences department for the 2022-23 school year.

Chaplain Rutherford will be taking the role of Head Chaplain at the Upper School as well as teaching Ethics.

Rutherford has a Master of Divinity, Virginia Theological Seminary; B.A. in History, and a minor in Youth Ministry from Flagler College.

Prior to seminary, Chaplain Rutherford taught Science at Oslo Middle School in Vero Beach and held various chaplain and youth pastor positions throughout Florida and South Carolina for 15 years.

Rutherford is well versed in various computer software and adapts to new programs and technology as they become available to aid in his ministry.

“I hope to inspire students to engage their interests and pursue lives that are fulfilling,” said Rutherford.

“I want to see students ten years from now loving what they do and inspiring others to live life to the fullest.”
