Construction slated to be completed by November

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Fire Rescue announced the beginning of construction for their new training facility and burn building, which will be located on the same property as fire station 5 on Foundation Parkway.

Construction is slated to be completed by November 2022.

Although Palm Bay Fire Rescue has been serving our community for over 50 years, this is the very first burn building in the department’s history.

“Training facilities are vital to the fire service, therefore, this building symbolizes more than just concrete and steel, as it will allow for the most realistic training environment possible including multi-stories, standpipe connections, search rooms, and even the ability to repel off of,” said Palm Bay Fire officials.

“This training ground will provide top-quality training for the firefighters of Palm Bay Fire Rescue all while keeping crews within the city to be able to respond to calls without any delays.”
