Three Brevard County Firefighters Injured, Mims Man Critically Injured After Two-Vehicle Crash Involving Fire Truck

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Three Brevard County Fire Rescue workers and a Mims man were injured late Sunday night after a two-vehicle crash involving a BCFR firetruck and a F-150 pickup truck at the intersection of Burkholm Road on US-1 in Mims.

According to the FHP report, the firetruck approached the intersection to turn southbound on US-1 when the F-150 struck the side of firetruck. Both vehicles were totaled.

Three firefighters inside the firetruck were injured and taken to the hospital.

The following firefighters have been identified as:

◾ 25-year-old man from Mims, suffered serious injuries

◾ 53-year-old man from Mims, suffered minor injuries

◾ 39-year-old woman from Mims, suffered minor injuries

The driver of the F-150, identified as a 35-year-old from Mims, is in critical condition.
