80-Year-Old Female Motorcyclist from Cocoa Dies After Traffic Crash in Titusville On Sept. 4

Crash happened at the intersection of South Washington Avenue and Garden Street

Patricia Marie Clark, 80, of Cocoa has died following a traffic crash that occurred on Sunday, Sept. 4 at approximately 6:50 a.m., involving a motorcycle and car at the intersection of South Washington Avenue (U.S. Hyw. 1) and Garden Street.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A Cocoa woman has died following a traffic crash that occurred on Sunday, Sept. 4 at approximately 6:50 a.m., involving a motorcycle and car at the intersection of South Washington Avenue (U.S. Hyw. 1) and Garden Street.

“The preliminary investigation revealed that a white 2019 Honda HRV SUV traveling eastbound on Garden Street, driven by Payton Taylor Blanchard, 29, of Titusville, failed to stop at a red light and subsequently struck a 2021 Honda motorcycle traveling north on U.S. Hwy. 1, driven by Patricia Marie Clark, 80, of Cocoa,” said Titusville Police Department spokesperson Amy Matthews.

Matthews said Clark was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and succumbed to her injuries at 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7.

There were no other injuries, and this traffic crash remains under investigation by the Titusville Police Department.
