BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The City of Cocoa has received calls from customers stating that they have received a call from the City of Cocoa demanding payment for overdue water bills.
“Please know that you can verify your balance due online at all times,” said a City of Cocoa official.
“The City of Cocoa would never ask from payment information or money to be sent by an outside vendor such as Venmo or PayPal.”
Residents can always go online or call the City of Cocoa to verify the balances owed for utilities.
“Please be careful when a caller tries to obtain personal information or tries to sell you a product,” said a City of Cocoa official.
“Always verify the identity of the person you’re speaking with and the organization before providing your personal or financial information.”
