BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team put up seven goals in a victory against Harcum College Saturday afternoon at Orlando Health Stadium on the Melbourne campus.

The 15th-ranked Titans got things started early as Sam Bayly finds Jack Nelson in front of the net and Nelson buried it to make it 1-0 six minutes into the contest.

EFSC goalkeeper Jorge Ortega kept the shutout with a nice save on a break, getting a hand on it to force it over the bar 25 minutes into the game.

The Titans would make it 2-0 about a minute later as Rolando Onu finds a streaking Thomas Duggan who makes a nice cut and hits it on the outside of his left foot to put it into the net.

That goal seemed to spark the Titan’s offense as Jack Nelson hit a half-bicycle from a cross from Thomas Chamberlain to make it 3-0 with 16:49 left in the first half.

Nelson would get the hat trick three minutes later as Bayly’s corner kick is headed by Junior Smith and saved by a defender but the ball comes back out and Nelson heads it into the back of the net.

Nelson now has six goals this season as the Titans headed to halftime leading 4-0.

The second half saw the Titans continue to find good shots and 17 minutes into the second half as Onu goes to the post and crosses the ball as Duggan comes streaking in and hits a sliding shot into an open net. It was Duggan’s second of the game and fourth of the season.

Onu would find the back of the net himself with 12:24 remaining as Onu intercepts a pass and breaks to the goal, beating the keeper to make it 6-0. It was Onu’s first goal of the season.

With just under a minute remaining in the contest, Adrian Adrian smashes it into the back of the net with 33 seconds remaining to make it 7-0.

Ortega recorded the shutout as the Titans will head into Wednesday night’s Region 8 Conference opener on a roll.

Eastern Florida State College will host Daytona State College Wednesday night at Orlando Health Stadium. Wednesday’s game will begin at 7 p.m. and admission is free.
