Eastern Florida State Volleyball Player Juliana De Acharan Named FCSAA Region 8 Setter of the Week

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College women’s volleyball player Juliana De Acharan was named the FCSAA Region 8 Setter of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Sept. 17.
De Acharan helped the Titans to two victories last week, recording 36 assists against Indian River State College and then had 45 assists in the four-set victory over Polk State College on Saturday.
The freshman from Sevilla, Spain also had nine digs and six kills in the two matches. The 45 assists against Polk State College was her season high and the second time this season she has recorded more than 40 assists in a match.
De Acharan is averaging 7.66 assists per set this season, which is third in the state.
DeAcharan is the first Titan to win the Setter of the Week award in the past decade.
Eastern Florida State College will travel to Santa Fe on Thursday for a Suncoast Conference match before hosting No. 1 ranked Florida Southwestern on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. Admission to matches at Titan Field House is free.
