OBITUARY: Angel Batista Caraballo Passed Away Aug. 29 in Palm Bay

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Angel Batista Caraballo died on August 29, 2022, in Palm Bay, Florida. He was born on September 29th, 1941, in Tanama, Adjuntas in Puerto Rico. He was one of 14 siblings of Santo Batista and Ana Caraballo.
At the age of 27, he married Marianna Perez and they moved to Connecticut. They moved to Palm Bay in 1993 and bought a house then he started his career at the Melbourne Airport as a janitor.
In 2008 he had a stroke and since then he was confined to a wheelchair and has resided at the Palms Rehabilitation Center. He recently was fighting kidney disease and was undergoing dialysis.
Tio Angel (as everyone knows him) was a big family man. He would always ask about everyone no matter what he was going through. He was always thinking about his brothers and sisters and all his nieces and nephews. Some of his nieces and nephews called him grandpa. Tio used to love Parrandas and playing his favorite instrument called a Cuatro.
Angel is predeceased by his wife of 32 years Marianna Perez. He is survived by his brothers Enrique Batista, Lerner Batista, Neftali Batista, Eloino Batista, Daniel Batista and Juan Batista. He is also survived by his sisters Ana Rosa Batista, Elida Batista, and Elsie Batista, and numerous nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care 950 Malabar Road SE Palm Bay, FL., with public viewing from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
