Florida is diligently working to recruit the best law enforcement officers in the country

WATCH: Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputy Kelsey Artus was selected by Governor Ron DeSantis and his team to help recruit law enforcement officers from other states who want to serve and protect the state of Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Our agency could not be more proud of Kelsey Artus as she was selected by Governor Ron DeSantis and his team to help recruit law enforcement officers from other states who want to serve and protect the state of Florida.

Florida truly backs their law enforcement officers and gives them the ability to keep their communities safe by putting bad people in jail and actually being allowed to enforce the law.

Under the leadership of Governor DeSantis, Florida is diligently working to recruit the best law enforcement officers in the country by offering incentives to sworn law enforcement officers from other states who are sick and tired of not being allowed to do their jobs.

Kelsey and her husband Will both served for years with NYPD and wanted to work for an agency that allows them to do their jobs and also in a community that supports their law enforcement officers.

After seeing on social media how our agency is tough on crime and even tougher on criminals and how much our community loves us, they knew Brevard County is where they wanted to be.

I personally could not be more proud of Kelsey for how she represented our agency in the video and for all she and Will do as part of our BCSO team.
