BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –  Week 3 of the high school football season is in the books with a few notable surprises across Brevard County.

HIGHLIGHTS

◾ Merritt Island controlled all facets of the game scoring 35 and holding the Astronaut War Eagles scoreless.

◾ Cocoa Beach continued their winning ways with a 49-0 road game at Taylor in Pearson Florida.

◾ Rockledge blanked the struggling Viera Hawks 41-0. The MCC Hustlers couldn’t get it done losing 63-0 to visiting Windermere Prep.

◾ Heritage went on the road falling to Centennial 30-0.

◾ Cocoa was on the road at perennial powerhouse St Thomas Aquinas looking for their first win of 2022. S.T.A. proved to be too much for the Tigers winning 42-14. Cocoa falls to 0-2.

◾ Eau Gallie hung a “W’ over Bishop Moore 20-17, The Commodores have proven to be a very formidable team thus far they play Satellite Scorpions next week in a cross-town rivalry.

◾ The Scorpions were defeated by the Melbourne Bulldogs 24-0. Melbourne had big plays and capitalized on costly Scorpion penalties against a very good Satellite defense.

◾ The Bayside Bears improved their record, now 2-1 going south to Central and came back with the 13-6 victory.

◾ The closest game featured Palm Bay Pirates falling short to Harmony in a 13-12 loss.
