The event is free to attendees, but guests must RSVP (Erin Harvey, Development Director, eharvey@bgccf.org, or 407-625-4668).

The breakfast brings close to 200 key community and business leaders from around Brevard County.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Our priority outcomes are academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.

Guests will hear from keynote speaker Brevard Public Schools’ Assistant Superintendent Christine Moore, whose career here spans more than 30 years, and who will talk about what our children are facing now and how they are succeeding.

Other presenters will include club leaders and members such as Jaden Simmons, who gained true leadership experiences through his Boys & Girls Club experiences and is making a difference in his community.

Brevard Clubs’ Board Member Evander Collier, Police Chief of the Cocoa Police Department, will also be in attendance.

More than 90% of Club members qualify for free and reduced-cost lunches at school — but 100% graduate from high school. (And 88% go on to college, the military or trade school.)

The Brevard Clubs have about 300 members between the three locations.

“Since 2006, Brevard County Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida has hosted this inspirational fundraising breakfast, Faces of the Future,” said Erin Harvey, development director of the Brevard County Boys & Girls Clubs.

“We believe everyone has the power and the responsibility to be part of unlocking this potential within our children and serving our communities through our kids.”

“Faces of the Future is a one-hour program where our guests meet the faces of our community’s future and leave with a heart full of hope and inspiration.”

A recent report enumerated some of the highlights of the Brevard Clubs just in the last year.

In 2021, 161 members experienced 32,390 program hours. One program impact hour is one hour a youth spends with a staff member in programs at the Club.

The Titusville Branch successfully opened its doors on December 6, 2021. The Clubs generate $9.60 in positive impact for every dollar of expenditures (increased parental wages, improved grades and alcohol avoidance, etc.).

The current strategic plan focuses on math and reading literacy efforts to bring our children back to grade level following pandemic isolation.

Funds raised at Faces of the Future are invested in programs, new curriculum and ongoing operational expenses.

Those who cannot attend the breakfast but are interested in finding out more, including visiting a club or learning about volunteer opportunities, may contact Erin Harvey, eharvey@bgccf.org, or 407-625-4668.
