Pedestrian Killed in Vehicle Crash on State Road 520 in Merritt Island

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night after a vehicle struck the individual on State Road 520 near S. Banana Drive in Merritt Island.
The identity of the pedestrian hasn’t been released by authorities yet.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash is a 34-year-old man from Cocoa.
Florida Highway Patrol says the investigation has revealed that the pedestrian was walking in the eastbound lanes of SR-520, in a non-designated crosswalk, when the collision occurred.
The crash happened around 9:22 p.m.
Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
