BREVARD COUNTY SHERIFF WAYNE IVEY: I am excited to share with our community that everyone’s favorite Bloodhound, Major Junny, is being inducted into the American Police Hall of Fame Museum in Titusville. Junny is an amazing K-9 who does so much for our community. BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I am excited to share with our community that everyone’s favorite Bloodhound, Major Junny, is being inducted into the American Police Hall of Fame Museum in Titusville.

Junny is an amazing K-9 who does so much for our community. From carrying on the memory of Junny Rios-Martinez to searching for missing children and helping the Sheriff’s Office spread the word about crime prevention, Junny has dedicated his entire life to serving our community.

While he still has years of service left to give, the American Police Hall of Fame is honoring his efforts and those of bloodhounds across the country by dedicating a corner of their amazing museum to Junny and the incredible work that bloodhounds like him do to save lives.

Recognized around our community as America’s Top Police Dog, Junny’s section of the museum will include photographs that document Junny’s journey from pup to serving as the mascot for the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

The section includes the attached loop video that tells his story and also offers parents tips on how to build a homemade child safety kit that could be used in the event of a missing child. My favorite part is the life-size cutout of Junny for kids to take pictures with so they can see firsthand just how amazing he truly is.

Of course, Junny will be on hand during the ribbon-cutting ceremony that will take place on October 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the American Police Hall of Fame, located at 6350 Horizon Drive in Titusville.

We will have light refreshments, great “Junny” T-shirts and other giveaways for those in attendance, so please join us as my partner is inducted into the incredible American Police Hall of Fame Museum.
