Brevard County Fire Rescue units responded to an aircraft emergency at the Merritt Island Airport on Monday. According to officials, BCFR responders arrived at the scene at approximately 12 pm. BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue units responded to an aircraft emergency at the Merritt Island Airport on Monday.

According to officials, BCFR responders arrived at the scene at approximately 12 pm.

Brevard County Fire Rescue Engines 41 & 43, Tender 43, Rescues 41 & 45, as well as District 40, were on the scene.

“A plane was forced to land with a damaged landing gear. There were two people on board with no injuries. Both refused transport and there were no additional hazards.” said Brevard County Fire Rescue.
