BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College Concert Choir and Madrigal Ensemble will present a Fall Choral Concert on Monday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Simpkins Fine Arts Auditorium (Bldg. 4) on Cocoa’s Campus, located at 1519 Clearlake Road.

General admission tickets purchased ahead online are $7, and senior/military tickets are $5 (plus fees).

Tickets purchased at the door on the night of the concert are $8/$7 (plus fees with a card, or without fees if paid by cash).

The EFSC Concert Choir, conducted by Dr. Robert Lamb, will present music with the theme of “Longing and Fulfilment.” The centerpiece of the program will be Jake Runestad’s award-winning A Silence Haunts Me which sets to music words from Beethoven’s Heiligenstadt Testament.

In this letter to his brothers from the autumn of 1802, Beethoven wrestles with his growing deafness and struggles to make sense of living the rest of his life as a deaf musician. Triumph through music is the theme.

The EFSC Madrigal Ensemble, conducted by Sarah Cheatham, specializes in choral music for small ensembles, especially music from the Renaissance as well as from the American jazz tradition.

Tickets are available online at efsc.booktix.com.
