EFSC Titans Women’s Basketball Knocks Off College of Southern Idaho at the Florida Southwestern Classic

Titans are 4-0 and No. 16 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team knocked off No. 6 College of Southern Idaho at the Florida Southwestern Classic in Fort Myers Sunday.

The Titans, who are 4-0 and No. 16 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll, defeated College of Southern Idaho 75-54.

The Titans took control of the game in the second quarter and held a 41-25 lead at the half. They would extend the lead in the third quarter and led by as many as 29 in the fourth quarter.

All 12 Eastern Florida State College players scored in the game as Amelia Hassett led the way with 14 points while Leilani Guion and Shadaria Smith each had 12. Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu had 10 points and eight rebounds in the win.

College of Southern Idaho was led by Tylie Jones who had 15 points.

Eastern Florida State College will play a couple of games in Gainesville this weekend, playing Florida Southwestern Friday and then Miami Dade College on Saturday.
