FHP: 60-Year Old Melbourne Man Dies After Driving Van Into Tree on Satellite Boulevard in Cocoa

FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL: A fatal crash Saturday morning on Satellite Boulevard in Cocoa claimed the life of a 60-year-old Melbourne man. According to Florida Highway Patrol Crash Investigator Cpl. Wenzel, the man was traveling northbound on Satellite boulevard north of Cherven Avenue, struck a tree and was pronounced deceased on the scene.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – A fatal crash Saturday morning on Satellite Boulevard in Cocoa claimed the life of a 60-year-old Melbourne man, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to Florida Highway Patrol Crash Investigator Cpl. Wenzel, the man was traveling northbound on Satellite boulevard north of Cherven Avenue.

A Florida Highway Patrol report said, for an unknown reason, the 2007 Ford E-350 van ran off the roadway right and struck a tree and the victim was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased on the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
