Kvinnesland has appeared in 11 games for the Panthers this season and has helped anchor a Florida Tech defense that is one of the best in the nation. BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech’s Mikkel Kvinnesland was named to the 2022 First Team Academic All-District Men’s Soccer Teams.

The teams are selected by the College Sports Communicators and recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their success on and off the field.

Kvinnesland has appeared in 11 games for the Panthers this season and has helped anchor a Florida Tech defense that is one of the best in the nation. Tech has only allowed 14 goals over 17 games, which ranks first in the SSC.

The Panthers now have six shutouts and lead the league in scoring defense at .813 goals allowed per game.

Kvinnesland is a sophomore from Stavanger, Norway is currently majoring in Business Administration. As a freshman, he was named to Florida Tech’s Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in 2021.

As a first-team Academic All-District selection, Kvinnesland is now a candidate for the 2022 NCAA Division II Academic All-America Men’s Soccer Team. Academic All-America will be announced in early December.

The men’s soccer team is set to take on the #5 seed Rollins in the third round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. right here in Melbourne.
