Florida Tech Panthers Volleyball Player Kayla Mastin Earns Academic All-District Honors

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech’s Kayla Mastin was named to the 2022 Academic All-District Women’s Volleyball Team.

The teams are selected by the College Sports Communicators and recognize the nation’s top scholar-athletes for their success on and off the field.

Mastin Appeared in 18 matches and 52 sets for the Panthers this season in which she recorded 29 kills, 32 block assists, and five solo blocks for 37 total blocks and 14 digs.

Over the course of her career at Florida Tech, she’s accumulated 190 kills with 159 total blocks and a total of 286.0 points.

Mastin is a senior from Canajoharie, New York, and is currently majoring in Bio-Medical Engineering. She has been named to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s and Florida Tech Athletic Director’s Honor Roll twice during her time in the Crimson and Gray.

As an Academic All-District selection, Mastin is now a candidate for the 2022 NCAA Division II Academic All-America Women’s Volleyball Team. Academic All-America will be announced in mid-December.
