WATCH LIVE: The Eau Gallie Commodores host the Melbourne Bulldogs in the 58th annual crosstown rival meeting. Big playoff implications are on the line for both teams, Daryl Durand is on the call.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eau Gallie Commodores are set to host the Melbourne Bulldogs in a huge rivalry prep football game Friday night on Space Coast Daily TV.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Both teams enter the final game of the season with 7-2 overall records.

The Melbourne Bulldogs are coming off a 49-7 district championship win over the Viera Hawks last week as quarterback Hunter Turner threw for 177 yards, and 2 touchdowns with a 109 quarterback rating.

Senior running back Wesley Lambert had himself a day with 162 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns on 18 carries.

The Commodores will be looking to bounce back after falling to Rockledge last week 35-0.

Eau Gallie will need to protect the football in this matchup against Melbourne. Offensively, Quarterback Jamari Crooms and company are more than capable as they have managed to put up over 3,000 all-purpose yards through nine games.

Before the Rockledge game, Eau Gallie only lost one of their eight games. Expect Eau Gallie to come out with some intensity as they look to close out the regular season on a high note.
