22-Year-Old Melbourne Woman Dies After Being Struck by Two Vehicles on A1A

A 22-year-old Melbourne woman has died after she was struck and killed on A1A near Moonlight Dr. in Melbourne Beach.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A 22-year-old Melbourne woman has died after she was struck and killed on A1A near Moonlight Dr. in Melbourne Beach.

Authorities say the crash happened around 6:35 p.m. when the Melbourne woman was arguing with other people on the shoulder of A1A, then stepped out into traffic and was struck by two vehicles.

The report released by FHP shows a vehicle driven by a 79-year-old Satellite woman struck the pedestrian in the northbound lane.

The impact from the crash threw the pedestrian in the southbound lane where she was struck again by another vehicle driven by a 38-year-old man from Melbourne Beach.

The woman received immediate treatment after the crash as it all happened in front of a fire station. She was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center but later died as a result of her injuries.
