BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Indialantic Chamber Singers will present their popular holiday concert in two Brevard locations this year.
Sing We Now of Christmas is filled with seasonal favorites and will be performed first on Friday, December 16 at 7 p.m., at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 300 Malabar Road SE in Palm Bay.
Brevard’s premier choral ensemble will reprise the performance in a second concert on Sunday, December 18 at 3:00 PM at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, located at the base of the Melbourne Causeway at 106 N. Riverside Drive in Indialantic.
The group will perform a variety of sacred and secular choral works that span the centuries, including “In Dulci Jubilo,” “Carol of the Bells,” “Star Carol,” “Sing We Now of Christmas” and many more.
Local soprano standout and music educator, Artistic Director Beth Green will conduct the group, with accompaniment by pianist Teresa Fleenor.
The audience will have a chance to sing along to their favorite carols, accompanied on the organ by founder and Director Emeritus, David Vogeding. Lending additional talent is bass singer Tom Glew, performing on bass guitar to “Spirit of the Season” and “Jazz Gloria.”
Begun in 1999, the Indialantic Chamber Singers have been known for their flawless rendition of both accompanied and cappella works, earning them the reputation as Brevard’s premier choral ensemble.
Sing We Now of Christmas is free of charge, with a suggested donation of $10. For more information about Sing We Now of Christmas or the performing season for the Indialantic Chamber Singers, visit IndialanticChamberSingers.org or call 321-426-0360.
For Indialantic Chamber Singers Artistic Director, Beth Green, the annual December concert is a chance to make Christmas come alive to the audience through excellent choral music.
“This is such a wonderful time of year for music,” said Mrs. Green. “Our singers enjoy performing all the different styles of songs on the program, and every one of them reflects the beauty of the season.”
The Indialantic Chamber Singers have performed several times in the nation’s capital at the invitation of the Washington National Cathedral. The organization is supported entirely by patron donations.
