The Space Race is back in 2023 at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex! Benefiting United Way of Brevard, the Space Race is a 3K (1.86 mile) course throughout the visitor complex, and registration is now open.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Space Race is back in 2023 and set for Friday, January 20, at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

Benefiting United Way of Brevard, the Space Race is a 3K (1.86 mile) course throughout the visitor complex, and registration is now open.

Run or walk throughout the course, and enjoy a view of the historic Rocket Garden, the full-sized booster stack at the entrance of Space Shuttle Atlantis and the Mercury 7 mural on Heroes & Legends featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame presented by Boeing.

Timing and scoring is chip-determined by the Running Zone. The top men and women will be scored by age groups. Want to meet an astronaut?

Winners in each category will receive their award from a veteran NASA astronaut. After the completion of the race, celebrate your accomplishment at the after-party in the Rocket Garden.

2023 SPACE RACE ENTRY/REGISTRATION INFORMATION

SPACE RACE ENTRY FEE:
EARLY REGISTRATION (until December 31, 2022)
Adult: $35
Child (12 and under): $20
REGISTRATION (January 1, 2023 – January 19, 2023)
Adult: $40
Child (12 and under): $25
RACE DAY
Adult: $45
Child (12 and under): $30
* VIRTUAL: Pricing remains the same for virtual with registration ending January 18, 2023

GUEST ENTRY FEE:
Online Registration – suggested donation of $5 to United Way

COMPLIMENTARY PARKING FOR THIS EVENT WILL BEGIN AT 5:30 PM IN LOTS 4 AND 5.

REGISTRATION INCLUSIONS:

■ The walk/run guides participants through the historic Rocket Garden featuring nine authentic rockets, the booster stack that graces the entryway to Space Shuttle Atlantis® and by Heroes and
■ Legends with a larger-than-life portrait of the Mercury 7 astronauts.
■ Enjoy a beer or wine at the after-race party
■ This family-friendly event is open to guests of runners with a suggested donation of $5
