Brevard County Fire Rescue Hazmat Team Places Third at 2023 Hazmat Symposium

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Members of the Brevard County Fire Rescue Hazmat Team placed third in the 2023 Hazmat Symposium on Tuesday in Volusia County.

Part of the Symposium is the Hazmat Team Competition where teams of three members plus one alternate are assessed through 10 assessment stations.

“The scores between the top three teams were very tight. We are very proud to announce that our BCFR Hazmat Team took the 3rd Place trophy,” said a BCFR spokesperson.

“Their hard work, knowledge, skill, and training stood out through this competition and the Department could not be any more proud.”

The Brevard County Fire Rescue Hazmat Team members include:

■ Lieutenant Tim Hall

■ Lieutenant Donnie Griffin

■ Lieutenant Elias Hensel
