BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The City of Cocoa Beach began the demolition of city hall this week as the staff is temporarily relocated to the Public Works Facility at 1600 Minutemen Causeway.

The City Hall parking lot is located at 2 South Orlando Avenue and will be closed to public parking for the duration of the demolition.

In February 2015, Cocoa Beach opened a 24,400-square-foot Fire Station, followed by a three-story 241 space parking complex. More recently, a three-story $9 million police station opened to serve the citizens of the city.

Leadership in Cocoa Beach has contemplated replacing the existing City Hall since 2003. The structure was built in 1962 and has seen a number of costly repairs in recent years.
