The City of Melbourne offers opportunities for landlords to find qualified tenants through its Tenant Based Rental Assistance program, a rental subsidy paid directly to landlords that helps low-income elderly and/or disabled renters afford the costs of market-rate rental units.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The City of Melbourne offers opportunities for landlords to find qualified tenants through its Tenant Based Rental Assistance program.

The Tenant Based Rental Assistance program is a rental subsidy paid directly to landlords that helps low-income elderly and/or disabled renters afford the costs of market-rate rental units.

Units must be located within the City of Melbourne and have reasonable rents based on rents that are charged for comparable units.

Renters must meet certain eligibility requirements, including having no record of eviction from rent-subsidized housing in the past five years, no outstanding debt owed to a housing program, and no drug-related or violent criminal activity over the past three years.
