OBITUARY: Esther Margarita Rivera, 85, Passed Away Jan. 19 at William Childs Hospice House

Esther was cherished by her family and will be deeply missed.

BREVARD, FLORIDA.—Esther Margarita Rivera, 85, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the William Childs Hospice House.

Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico on April 5, 1937, to the late Jose M. Hernandez and Maria Aponte she was the beloved wife of Jose Rivera for the past 67 years.

Loving mother of Roderick (Diane), Pedro A. (Lori), and Miguel (Jenni), cherished grandmother of six, great-grandmother of 1. Beloved sister of Carmen Inez, twin Anna Santoro and Aida Rivera.
Esther enjoyed cooking and planning festive traditional Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations that no family member would want to miss.

When living in the Bronx and her Palm Bay home she would grow her flowers from seedlings and enjoyed trips to the local garden sections of stores to buy plants and flowers.

Esther was cherished by her family and will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held for her on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Ammen Family Cremation & Funeral Care, 950 Malabar Road, Palm Bay followed by a Funeral Mass, officiated by Rev. Fr. Vilaire Philius, 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 300 Malabar Road, Palm Bay. Burial will be private.
