Satellite Beach Fire Chief Dave Abernathy Honored as 2022 Fire Chief of the Year

BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – Satellite Beach Fire Department Chief Dave Abernathy was recently honored as the 2022 Fire Chief of the Year by his peers at the Space Coast Fire Chiefs Association.
“Join us in celebrating Satellite Beach Fire Chief Dave Abernathy for being chosen as the 2022 Fire Chief of the Year,” said City of Satellite Beach officials.
“Thank you for your leadership and service to your community. You are truly deserving of this honor.”
The Satellite Beach Fire Department is comprised of 20 personnel serving in the positions of Professional Career Firefighter-Paramedic and Professional Reserve Firefighter.
“Satellite Beach only recruits and retains the best,” said city officials. “These dedicated men and women are supported by our beachside City – providing the Department with the best equipment, the best training, and competitive benefits for its personnel.
