BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team posted their 16th straight win on Saturday afternoon at the Lady Jets Holiday Classic in Americus, Georgia.

The No. 1-ranked Titans defeated Chattahoochee Valley Community College 78-54 behind a balanced scoring attack.

After a slow start to the first quarter, the Titans would finish the quarter on a 14-2 run to lead 27-16 after one quarter. From there the Titans dominated in the second quarter, holding Chattahoochee Valley to 25.9 percent shooting and went to halftime leading 51-23.

It marked the sixth straight game the Titans have won by double digits and the 16 straight wins is a program best.

L’or Eyeba Mputu led the offensive attack with 21 points and four rebounds while Elli Garnett had 11 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Shadaria Smith scored 12 points with four assists.

Eastern Florida State College will play Shelton State College in their final game at the tournament on Sunday afternoon. The Bucs have won nine straight games heading into Sunday’s contest.
