Florida Tech Panthers Lina Stranger-Johannessen Earns Academic All-District Honors

Lina has recorded 120 pts, 88 rebounds, and 45 assists this season
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech’s Lina Stranger-Johannessen was named to the 2022-23 Academic All-District Women’s Basketball Team.
The teams are selected by the College Sports Communicators and recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their success on and off the court.
Stranger-Johannessen has appeared in 22 games for the Panthers this season.
She has recorded 120 points, 88 rebounds, and 45 assists. Stranger-Johannessen is second on the team with 15 blocks on the season and 34 steals.
Stranger-Johannessen is a sophomore from Oslo, Norway and is currently majoring in Global Management and Finance. Last season, she was named to the Florida Tech Athletic Directors Honor Roll.
As an academic All-District honoree, Stranger-Johannessen is now a candidate for the NCAA Division II Academic All-America Women’s basketball Teams. Academic All-America teams will be announced in mid-March.
The women’s basketball team will be home for the last time this season tomorrow as they take on Lynn at 5:30pm. The Panthers will also honor their four seniors during the Senior Night ceremony prior to tip-off.
