Melbourne Man Arrested for 54 Counts on Charges Related to Child Pornography

Melbourne Police Department have arrested 63-year-old Melbourne man for 54 counts of Possession of Material Depicting Sexual Conduct Involving a Child (Child Pornography) and Possession with Intent to Promote Material Depicting Sexual Conduct Involving a Child (Child Pornography).

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA –  Melbourne Police Department have arrested 63-year-old Melbourne man for 54 counts of Possession of Material Depicting Sexual Conduct Involving a Child (Child Pornography) and Possession with Intent to Promote Material Depicting Sexual Conduct Involving a Child (Child Pornography).

Police say they received a call regarding possible child pornography seen on a computer in the home of George A. White.

Based on this information, search warrants were obtained and a computer, and other digital devices, were seized from White’s home.

A forensic examination of the devices was conducted, which revealed hundreds of images, of which at least 54 met the required elements of Child Pornography pursuant to Florida State Statute.

On February 8 2023, detectives returned to White’s home with a warrant for his arrest.

White was arrested and taken to the Brevard County Jail where he is held without bond.

At this time, detectives believe the images found on White’s computer were downloaded from various internet sources, and there is no connection to any victims locally.
