OBITUARY: Former Teacher Frank L. Bartlett, 80, of Melbourne Passes Away After a Brief Hospitalization

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA—Frank L. Bartlett, 80, of Melbourne, died on December 30, 2022, after a brief hospitalization.
He is survived by Kathie Heisey, his devoted and loving partner of 10 years, his son, Matthew Bartlett of Kirkland, WA, his brother, Richard Bartlett (Linda) of St. Cloud, three grandchildren, Alexis Bartlett, Anna Bartlett, and Taylor Bartlett and two great-grandchildren, Vivian Davis and Tobias Bartlett.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Louise Bartlett, and his brother Will Bartlett.
Frank was born on August 24, 1942 in Winchester, Massachusetts.
He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic University and received a master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Kentucky in 1969.
In the 1970s, Frank began a career teaching in Florida public schools, first as a science teacher in Immokalee in the early 70s, where he won the Teacher of the Year award, and later taught at Holland Elementary School in Satellite Beach until his retirement in 2006.
An avid motorcyclist, his favorite destination was Key West.
Frank was known as kind and generous, always available to help someone, and quick with a humorous observations.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
