Severe Thunderstorms Expected This Afternoon Across Portions of Brevard County: National Weather Service

National Weather Service is advising residents in Brevard County that there is an increased risk of severe thunderstorms in portions of Brevard County. (NWS Image)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Weather Service is advising residents in Brevard County that there is an increased risk of severe thunderstorms in portions of Brevard County. 

The storms bring 40-60mph gusts, frequent lightning and one-inch downpours, according to NWS.

Boaters and beachgoers are also being advised that conditions could be hazardous in some spots by producing High Risk Rip Currents.

The temperature for today is expected to hover around the low-mid 80s throughout the day.
