BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – “When 2nd’s Count” is our latest initiative to help our citizens be the citizens be the first line of defense for them and their families in the event of a violent attack.

I have always said that the best way we can help protect our citizens is to help them be prepared to protect themselves in the event of a violent attack.

The best law enforcement agencies in the country have response times within minutes, but a violent criminal can take your life in seconds if you are not prepared to protect you, your family, those around you in church, or even the movie theater.

I want our citizens to be well prepared to defend themselves, so our agency created “When 2nd’s Count” to help train our citizens to be the first line of defense in the event they face an active shooter, home invasion, or any other type of violent attack.

“When 2nd’s Count” is an informative new series that teaches self defense through mental preparedness, proper firearm utilization, firearm safety, and situational awareness.

In “The Art of War” Sun Tzu says…”Every battle is won or lost before it is ever fought” and the way we survive a violent attack is by being better prepared, better trained, and better equipped, both mentally and physically to face and survive the attack.
