BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s golf team placed second in the 2023 Glenlakes Invitational Tuesday in Foley, Alabama.

The Titans shot a final round of 301 which was the second-best round of the day, but Mississippi Gulf Coast went from third to first, shooting 289 in the final round.

“Another struggle today as we have yet to close out a tournament. Spring break will give the guys a breather and some time to prepare for our next tournament at Barry University,” Eastern Florida State College men’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.

Robert Greninger shot a final round 75 to finish tied with Jefferson State College’s Matthew Hewitt for the medalist.

The pair went to a playoff which Hewitt won on the first playoff hole. Greninger finished the tournament 1-over. After a rough 17th hole, Greninger returned with a birdie on No. 18 to force the playoff.

Teammates Murphy Allard and Brandon Boncore finished tied for 13th overall at 9-over for the tournament. Allard shot a 74 in the final round while Boncore had a 76.

Nick Miller tied for 21st overall with a 76 in the final round and Adam Vermut tied for 35th overall.
