BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s golf team placed ninth in the Keiser Kup Tuesday in West Palm Beach.

The Titans shot a 301 in the final round of the tournament to finish with a 903 at Okeeheelee Golf Course. Keiser University won the tournament, shooting a 282 in the final round, and was 9-under for the tournament.

Adam Vermut shot a 74 for the second straight day to finish tied for 29th overall with teammate Murphy Allard who shot a 77 on Tuesday.

Nick Miller finished tied for 37th overall, shooting a 75 Tuesday, and Bryan Hernandez shot a 76 to place 43rd. Brandon Boncore tied for 44th with a 76.

“It was a struggle all week,” Eastern Florida State College men’s golf coach Jamie Howell said.

“Okeeheelee was a perfect test for a postseason event and thus gives us some information and areas to work on. We show signs of good play but need to cut way back on the unforced errors and poor choices.”

Eastern Florida State College will compete in the Glenlakes Spring Invitational on March 13-14 in Foley, Alabama.
