BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s golf team won the Deercroft Spring Break Invite Tuesday afternoon at the Deercroft Golf Club in Wagram, North Carolina.

The Titans shot a 318 in the final round to finish the tournament with a 629 for their first team win of the spring.

“It was a scrap all day for the team. We started off well, then ran into issues midway through the round,” Eastern Florida State College women’s golf coach Jamie Howell said. “Golf course and hole locations were a challenge. It was the team’s first time sleeping on a lead and extended it, good job by all. The course should be similar to what we see in three weeks in our district championship in South Carolina.”

Jasmine Yang shot a 77 for the second straight day to finish third overall while Gracie Doke finished fourth after an 80.

Morela Boyd tied for sixth while Sarah Knitter was ninth at 16-over par. Kira Shellman is tied for 11th place overall.

Eastern Florida State College will compete in the NJCAA Ladies Southeast District Championship April 17-18 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
