(247SPORTS.COM) – Following the 2021-22 season, Georgia shooting guard Kario Oquendo entered the transfer portal but was convinced to return by new Bulldogs head coach Mike White.

Nearly one year later, Oquendo is looking to take his game to the next level.

Oquendo announced on Tuesday that he is entering the 2023 NBA Draft and will also put his name in the transfer portal in the event he decides to return to college.

The 6-foot-4 Oquendo has up to two years of eligibility remaining at his next school. Oquendo entered the portal following his first season at Georgia but ultimately removed his name and returned to Athens.

He played in 29 of Georgia’s 32 games this season — he started in 28 of them — and was the team’s second-leading scorer with 12.7 points per game. Oquendo also averaged 2.6 rebounds per game and had 18 assists and 15 steals.
