BREVARD COUNTY • CANAVERAL GROVES, FLORIDA – After the deadliest mass homicide case in Brevard County in the past ten years, Brevard County Sheriff’s Agents arrested and charged Domenico Gigante, 36, of Rockledge, with four murders on March 2 after a horrific incident at a residence off Alan Shephard Avenue in Canaveral Groves.

Gigante was charged with four counts of First Degree Premeditated Murder and is currently being held at the Brevard County Jail without bond.

“This is an extremely violent individual with an extremely violent past dating back as far as 2005 who should have never been on our streets where he could take the lives of this entire family,” said Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey during a press conference.

“In 2005, he was arrested for domestic violence and battery and in 2008, was arrested for multiple counts of cruelty to animals.”

Gigante was also arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault in 2012.

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tod Goodyear said the murder victims are identified as 63-year-old Glenda Terwilliger, 36-year-old Michael Watson, 35-year-old Constance Terwilliger, and 15-year-old Kiara Terwilliger, who were all living at the residence at the time of the incident.

The investigation determined that  Gigante had a previous relationship with Constance Terwilliger and is the biological father of Kiara Terwilliger.

“The investigation began after the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call advising that four people had been shot at the residence.  The caller advised that he was contacted by a minor child who also lived at the residence,” said Goodyear.

Goodyear said the caller responded to the residence, where he found the four murder victims, as well as a 9-year-old boy and a 6-year-old boy, who called for help. Both boys were uninjured.

“Evidence collected during the investigation revealed that Gigante left his residence on Wednesday, at approximately 1 a.m., and traveled to the victim’s residence, where he broke into the house and shot the victims,” said Goodyear.  “Gigante then left the victim’s residence and returned home.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with this family, and we as a community mourn their loss, and this is a result of this violent individual being left out on the streets where he could harm somebody else,” said Sheriff Ivey.

Anyone with information about Domenico Gigante is asked to please call Agent Bruce Connors of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit at 321-633-8400.
