Palm Bay Man Arrested by Police After Going 100-MPH in a 40-MPH Speed Zone

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police say they arrested a man on Tuesday after he was pulled over by officers for going 100 mph in a 40 mph zone to get his girlfriend to a Taco Bell interview.
Police say 22-year-old Jevon Jackson was arrested for reckless driving and child neglect after three children were found inside the vehicle when officers pulled him over.
Jackson was taken into custody in the area of De Groodt Road and Gates Street in Palm Bay when an unmarked patrol car noticed Jackson was driving recklessly in a no-passing zone.
He was arrested and booked into the Brevard County Jail on charges of reckless driving and child neglect.
Jackson also faces an additional charge for driving with a suspended license.
