Many listeners may witness to the phrase “the nourishment of the soul” being used frequently to describe music.

It can make you feel happier when you’re depressed, bring back memories, stimulate your creativity, give you energy for a better workout, and help you relax when things are unpleasant.

If you listen to music too often, unlike many other activities that make you feel good (unless the volume is excessively loud or you skip work to do it!), it won’t have any bad effects on you.

Music can lower your blood pressure, make you happier, or connect you with possible friends or business partners.

The emotions evoked by the songs we listen to have an immediate, ultimately positive impact on our mood. Research explains how and why music affects us. Even listening to a depressing tune awakens repressed feelings that could trigger lasting recollections.

Positive memories can reunite us with loved ones if they are happy memories. It’s possible to use unpleasant feelings as treatment.

With increasing awareness of good music among listeners, the musicians are also making right choices in their song composing practices.
